Flying in the back country presents some of the most difficult flying conditions a pilot can face. The members of the UBCP regularly work together to increase the safety margins of operating in and out of these challenging areas through the sharing of knowledge freely with one another. Monthly, our Board meets to discuss the current conditions of many of the publicly-accessible airstrips and help to develop mitigation strategies to address any areas of concern, such as communicating airstrip conditions to our members in an expeditious manner.
Quarterly, members of the UBCP meet together to share experiences and lessons learned with one another. These meetings we open to the public in an effort to increase the outreach of this knowledge to all pilots. We invite any and all interested to join us at our next meeting. Details about our next meeting can be found in the Events section, or on our Facebook page.
